First Filmed Kickflip on Surfboard

I remember a few summers ago when Volcom announced a surfing contest with extremely simple rules for play: First footage submitted of a kickflip on a surfboard gets 10 grand. I thought it was a great idea. I wish I had the footage of us trying to land one for hours because we thought how odd it would have been to have the winner of a global search-style surf contest be from Michigan and the Great Lakes. I never landed one, but I'm glad it took 3 years for someone to finally get it. After watching this video countless times I'm left with the feeling that one of my favorite quotes sums up;

"Skate like you surf, don't surf how you skate."
